About This Estate

Founded in 1857 by Count Agoston Haraszthy, Buena Vista holds the distinction of being California's first premium winery. The historic Press House, built in 1862 just one mile from the Sonoma Plaza, serves as the tasting room where visitors sample wines surrounded by nearly two centuries of winemaking history. The Champagne Cellar houses an interactive Wine Tool Museum, and the stunning courtyard provides one of the most charming settings for a glass of wine in all of Sonoma. Buena Vista is where California wine began.
